The Gina Osterloh photo is really cool. The colors grab my attention, especially the streamers coming out of her mouth. I don't know if it is significant, but I guess it is also important that you can't see her face, another thing to consider since it is symbolic of women in the "office life."
Rachel Rieder- I also thought that the Gina Osterloh photo was particularly interesting. It's amazing that there can be so much rage without any hint of facial expression. I think that it also connects to a very fundamental part of each viewer's personality, poignantly showing how each of us is trapped in western culture through all of its complications.
The Gina Osterloh photo is striking. The bright rainbow colors gives a false first impression that this is a happy picture, but you soon discover it's not. I guess the color lightens up the tone of the message. (Imagine if the colors were all dark- this would have been a scary photo...) - Janice -
There is something about Schmidberger's painting that intrigues me. It's not really the content, even though it is quite uncanny, but the colors. They are muted yet so clear and vivid.

Schmidberger's painting is REALLY frightening. It made me cringe a bit after reading the title, too. The image brings sad feelings to me.
