To me, art is the ability to create something from almost nothing. This man carried nothing but pieces of paper (and long nails), which he folded in half and painstakingly tore to shape the Chinese characters 李宝春 (Li Po Chun). It is a difficult technique that creates a work that looks as simple as if it were cut out by a knife. This is also art; the ability to create a seemingly ordinary piece of work using techniques that require years of practice to obtain.
